Primary and High School

Deenabandhu School was Founded in 1998. The intension was to expand innovative child upbringing experiences of children's home to other children from the community. The school has a spacious building with special pentagonal class rooms, assembly hall, computer lab, chemistry lab, library and a special resource center. The school walls are painted with beautiful pictures connected with science, geography, etc.

The school caters to children from LKG to 10th standard. Each class housing not more than 35 children. The medium of instruction is Kannada. A nutritious mid-day meal is provided for all the children. Though school does not get government grant, education in Deenabandhu is highly subsidized and only a participatory fee is collected by children.

Deenabandhu School follows experiential based teaching and learning methodology. We have developed over 700 experiments / teaching learning materials, various projects for social and science - have adopted special programs to teach english language - school also runs regular science club and maths club activities - children keep visiting Deenabandhu’s own science park - theater, craft, computer training, traditional skills like pottery, Charaka, Handloom and a bit of agriculture are all integral part of the school curriculum. This has enabled the children to cherish their school and also learn effectively. More over special care and attention is given to the slow learning. They are engaged in various activities and tasks which will boost their trust in themselves. Teachers make sure that no student is discriminated or feels left out because of learning disabilities. Also the 10th std results are pretty good and stay way above district average!

Indo-MIM, Hoskote, Bangalore is the sole donor of Deenabandhu Primary and High School. We are very grateful that the Indo-MIM company has taken an initiative to support the entire expenditure incurred for running of “Deenabandhu Primary and High School” located in Chamarajanagara district, Karnataka, India. Not only it covers the mid-day meals of the school students, but at the same time, it supports the salaries of the teachers and also helps in providing the computer and science lab application to students. Indo-MIM is providing 100% grant for running the primary school and nurturing the young minds for better future.
